Back from a week in the

8/9/10 -- Back from a week in the Central Highlands of Mexico. What a wonderful country. We met so many friendly, kind people. Fantastic trip for the Birdseye family. A few pics of the adventure:

Amy's loving host mother, Carolina. Amy's Spanish blossomed after 6 weeks of intensive study.

As a climber, I particularly appreciated the 3rd largest monolith in the world, just outside of Bernal. Of course we hiked up as far as possible without ropes and gear.

I couldn't get enough enchiladas with verde salsa!

The plaza in Queretaro at night, always filled with people enjoying the social scene.

The best part of the adventure was doing it with my family. (Kesley, me, Amy; Debbie took the photo.) I am a very lucky guy!
