I’m currently working on a new young adult novel, tentatively titled BLOWUP. In a nutshell, the premise of the story is:

After the loss of his father in a fiery car crash, Connor Hayden-Brooks vows to be there for his injured sister and heartbroken mom, and to protect the ancient grove of trees his dad loved so much. But when Connor inadvertently ignites a wildfire that blows up into a raging inferno, he must grapple with guilt, moral dilemma, and the need to somehow atone for his actions. With law enforcement and a wall of flames closing in on him, can he save what he holds most dear?
