Hypothetically speaking

Suppose someone were to wake up very early—let's say . . . two hours before dawn.

And in the darkness and mental fog of not enough sleep were to make a mistake—let's say . . . put their underwear on backwards.

But due to the aforementioned mental fog, this particular someone didn't notice the mistake until—let's say . . . mid-morning.

Could this be a sign of mental decline?

The chaos of the world embodied in a sartorial form?

The need for alarm bell equipped, one-way-only underwear?

Not that this would ever happen in real life to any particular someone—let's say . . . me. Not a chance. No way. This is, of course, all hypothetical . . .
