In dedication

After a lengthy break, I'm back in the faculty saddle again at the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Yesterday I finished responding to the first round of critical and creative writing from my students—outstanding work. And a reminder that although I came to the school to teach, I had no idea how much I was going to learn over the course of seventeen semesters. That growth has manifested in my new young adult novel, THERE IS NO MAP FOR THIS, which will be published in 2024. The dedication reads:

For the shining constellations of the Vermont College of Fine Arts, MFA Program in Writing for Children and Young Adults. Without your stellar light, this story simply wouldn't be.
