Looking for a good YA read?

There are many, of course; more and more all the time. But I just finished listening to an audiobook version of Maggie Stiefvater's THE SCORPIO RACES (http://maggiestiefvater.com), so it's the one on my mind right now. Mostly I experienced this story while on trail runs. I was so sucked in by the unique story concept, deep character development, riveting plot, snappy dialogue, and poetic prose that the miles ticked away without me noticing, and I didn't trip on a root or rock and fall, not even once. Now I'm thinking I might read it in print as well (sitting, not running), and see how the two mediums compare. Stories -- can't get enough.

In a very different artistic display, a tip of my hat to the Japanese maple in our back yard. She's putting on the autumn glitz!
