More good news! STORM

9/19/11 -- More good news! STORM MOUNTAIN has been nominated for the 2012-2013 Nebraska Golden Sower Award. Selected by a statewide committee of librarians as one of ten books on the intermediate grade list, it will be read by kids across Nebraska and then voted on in April, 2013. Win or not, it's an honor to have a book on the list. Ironic, too, in some ways, as the highest point in Nebraska is Panorama Point, at 5,423 feet, and not all that mountainous. All the better, as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully STORM MOUNTAIN will give those prairie kids who haven't had an alpine experience a small window into that beautiful and powerful world above timberline.
