UPS delivery

8/29/11 -- UPS recently delivered a box to my front porch. From its return address and heft I could tell it held books. Had I ordered copies of a current title? I didn't think so. Was a book going out of print and these were the last few remainders sent my way? I hoped not. With a sharp knife and baited breath I sliced the box open to find twenty copies of  my novel, STORM MOUNTAIN, in paperback. Paperback? Published by Scholastic Book Club? Somehow my radar had not picked up the news of this delightful new iteration. But do I care? Absolutely not. I'll take that kind of surprise any old day!
